his visit to Asharqia Chamber
Sri Lanka Ambassador: We seek to explore further trade and tourism
opportunities between the two countries
Sri Lanka Ambassador, Mohamed Azmi, that Sri Lanka is on its way towards taking on new
dimensions that will enhance investment fields on its land, calling on Saudi
companies to explore investment opportunities in his country.
The
Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber,
Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, has
received Monday, August 1, 2016, Sri Lanka ambassador in Saudi, Mohamed Azmi,
During the meeting, they exchanged conversations about the fields of economic
cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in the near
future.
Azmi
said that his country seeks to enhance
the numbers of qualified and trained Sri Lankans to work in the Kingdom ,
referring to what was set by his government of cultural and training programs
aiming at educating and training its
workers to the nature and quality of the work within the Kingdom.
Azmi
also pointed that Sri Lanka has become a tourist destination for many Saudi
tourists, and that because of its locations and attractive tour packages to
suit all segments of Saudi society, noting that the tourism sector holds many
of the profitable investment opportunities. Ambassador
Azmi, has offered the general secretary with a briefe on the details of the
World Export Development Forum which will be hosted by Sri Lanka during the
next month of October.
Al Wabel, welcomed Sri Lankan
Ambassador , referring to the economic amount of business between the two
countries particularly regarding labor
and trade exchanges hands of technicians, pointing to the many vital issues in
the discussion which is expected to form a future interest in the cooperation
between the two sides.
He
pointed that the chamber is keen to have a role in enhancing mutual economic
relations between the Kingdom and the rest of the world, saying that the chamber
is ready to empower all potentials to receive economic delegations, and
providing commercial and investment informations they need, in order to expand
investment and foreign trade departments.
